This will likely lead to a marathon at some point early next year. I could add these to Get Carter and Alfie and be on a roll. The Italian Job is one of his most purely enjoyable films and a true British classic.

I think the pedestrian build-up to the classic heist is perfect preparation. It puts the focus on the car chase and really brings out the wonderful entertainment of it.Dan (Top 10 Films)http://www.top10films.co.uknoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-48116979754365487442011-08-15T21:16:21.607-05:002011-08-15T21:16:21.607-05:00I agree. Caine is great in The Italian Job, but I have noticed that it's a lot more beloved in Britain than here. It definitely has the feel of a British film from the late '60s that might not translate as well over here.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12351431577484530230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-27282425343533195392011-08-09T03:33:39.140-05:002011-08-09T03:33:39.140-05:00You know Da I really like the way you kind of inte...You know Da I really like the way you kind of interview yourself when doing these reviews or break downs of the films. But being British it is in our blood to love this. It is an un written LAW

CScott Lawlorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13494245383368638698noreply@blogger.com
