It was interesting from the start but really got momentum as the characters expanded. I'm glad to hear that you caught some of it; it's very different from the other series. I love the other shows, but for different reasons. I'd love to get your thoughts on the future posts in this series. I actually came into SGU after BSG without having really seen any of the other Stargate series - I'd seen the movie and maybe the odd ep or two of I don't know which series. I don't think I watched SGU through to the end, but I enjoyed most of what I did watch and thought they definitely had some interesting things going on. I always meant to go back and finish it...maybe this will spur me to do it!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03288833179709873110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-49440847010467289332014-09-17T00:09:14.921-05:002014-09-17T00:09:14.921-05:00I agree that it didn't go well. What's sad...I agree that it didn't go well. What's sad is that the campaign probably contributed to the show's cancellation, though it's hard to say for sure. Fans had 10 seasons of SG-1 (plus two movies) and five of SGA and took it for granted. I'm really interested to see how SGU does on a rewatch. I also need to go back and watch BSG again too. There isn't enough time!

I'll be interested to hear your thoughts on the episodes as I go along. It's been a while since I've seen them, so I'm looking forward to it!Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12351431577484530230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-5937338223236670222014-09-16T10:15:51.826-05:002014-09-16T10:15:51.826-05:00I've been thinking about doing an SGU rewatch....I've been thinking about doing an SGU rewatch. (Nearly finished with a BSG one.) Want to see how well it holds up, so many years later. Looking forward to reading your thoughts!

Thinking back, I was pretty heavy into the fandom at that time. Ran a Stargate fansite and forums and everything. Things got ugly. Boycots. Blatant online campaigns against the new show and the show runners. Made the Stargate fans look terrible, in my opinion. Jainahttp://time-wellspent.comnoreply@blogger.com
