Survivor: One World, "Two Tribes, One Camp, No Rules"

During Survivor's early seasons, the competitors were typically fans who applied because they loved the show. Over the years, the percentage of the cast that was recruited continued to grow. The producers found some great players through this route, but it also introduced uninteresting models not ready for the grueling contest. This season, the show has changed dramatically and placed both tribes in a single camp. This One World concept has the potential to deliver a great season because of the unpredictability. Last night's premiere was a chaotic affair with some ridiculous moments, but it also spotlighted major issues with the cast. Most players appear to have zero knowledge of the show and what's needed to succeed. There are a few interesting characters, but they're pushed to the background by several annoying idiots. The result is an entertaining opener that's silly but reveals the potential for frustration going forward. For more details, check out my full review of this episode for Sound on Sight. If you do check it out, please leave a comment and let me know what you thought about this premiere.
