I just watched this last night a...Great review Dan! I just watched this last night and I thought it did some great things - I definitely felt the suspense and A LOT of awkwardness. There was so much awkward tension surrounding the video and other bizarre behavior from the hosts & their friends. You really weren't sure if something was afoot or if it was just Will's panic (but it's a movie, so ya know something has to happen). The ending was exciting but also so sad. I wonder where Pruitt & Sadie's motivation in participating came from specifically. Oh, and when Lynch shows up you know that something has to go wrong. His speech was horrifying. Your review reminded me of the opening scene with the tire iron, and how that reflects in my mind on how the son died, and the fire poker used at the end. All similar types of every day weapons.
