Still, it ended up paying off in the end but slowly building the suspense. It's hard to say what would work best. I do adore this film, but I have wondered if it could be enhanced if tightened ever so slightly. Still, a fine Hitchcockian film if there ever was one.Alex Withrowhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15887018476048271594noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-39394975412187778972014-07-29T06:39:15.044-05:002014-07-29T06:39:15.044-05:00This is definitely one of those films that I enjoy...This is definitely one of those films that I enjoyed more as I sat down to write about it. The suspense was great, but it was the deliberate set-up and sharp execution that really stood out when I started digging into my thoughts on the movie. I'm not curious to see the remake. I thought the suspense in the last act was really well done, especially in the minutes right up to the big reveal. It was just full of twists and certainly engaging in the way it plays to that sense of what is really going on. It was something that I think the 1996 remake lacked as it was just crap.thevoid99https://www.blogger.com/profile/03055459287396592446noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-47452354012618846822014-07-28T17:27:21.022-05:002014-07-28T17:27:21.022-05:00I think this is a great film. And this is despite having seen the American remake from the 90s first.Chip Laryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00787403805554027107noreply@blogger.com
