The scenes at the studio (and Disneyland) were my favorite in the movie. He had to work really hard to get Travers to warm up to him, and I thought their conversations together was great.TheVernhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00712756384665520547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-67269435614703287132014-04-20T21:58:02.647-05:002014-04-20T21:58:02.647-05:00It's cool, Dan. Expected it to be terribly sentimental and sappy, but somehow, it truly did strike a chord with me and had me tearing-up plenty by the end. As much as I hate to admit that, it did actually happen.Dan O.http://www.dtmmr.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-84427546605125870202014-04-16T21:48:58.768-05:002014-04-16T21:48:58.768-05:00I think it's a fun time at the movies for the ...I think it's a fun time at the movies for the most part. I wouldn't say that must see it, but the acting (especially from Thompson) is good enough to make it worth your time. It's been a long time since I've seen it, though. I saw it a lot of times as a kid. It may sound rather generic, but the pros you mention make this feel like a nice time at the movies, which is just what you need sometimes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6917634143872972680.post-42699856325166257732014-04-16T09:01:10.523-05:002014-04-16T09:01:10.523-05:00Great review! I enjoyed the songs and those scenes where they would be singing them. I haven't seen Mary Poppins, but it does make one want to revisit the classic.Big Screen Small Wordshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15047376725272000920noreply@blogger.com
