Survivor: One World, "Just Annihilate Them" Review

Two weeks ago following the merge, there were many possibilities for where Survivor: One World would go. Following the departures of Jonas and Michael, the situation is now a lot clearer. Kim, Sabrina, Chelsea, and Kat are in charge, and contenders like Jay and Troyzan have an uphill battle ahead. If they hope to make the end, they'll need to sway Alicia and Christina and make them a better offer than fifth and sixth. Along with the excellent game play from Kim, this week features two great challenges. The first includes the massive slide pictured above and ends with a solid puzzle. The immunity challenge is even better thans to an extremely complex puzzle with 60 pieces. Michael's exit seems likely early in the episode, but it still includes a lot of fun moments. Are the women going to kick all the men out in the next four weeks? I expect there will be a few surprises, but Kim and Sabrina seem like the favorites at this point. For more details, check out my full recap for Sound on Sight.

Here are a few other interesting moments that I didn't address in my review:
  • Jay spends the whole episode worried about the girls banding together, but then he votes for Michael. I'm guessing he was trying to win favor with the women, but it likely makes little difference.
  • While the players go crazy about drinking 7UP, I think they're likely more excited about the hot dogs, hamburgers, and steaks. That said, I'd probably go crazy for the cheapest white soda in the world if I was out there. It wasn't really about the 7UP, despite the editors' best efforts.
  • The Tribal Council is generally forgettable, but Tarzan creates some fun by telling Jeff that he's being deceived. Tarzan, you don't mess with Jeff, especially if you want to be on his talk show.
