The LAMBCast: Roll Your Own Top 5

This week, I rejoined the LAMBcast crew for a highly enjoyable Roll Your Own Top 5 discussion. The set-up is that each participant brings a Top 5 list on any topic, which leads to plenty of entertaining conversations. For this podcast, I joined Dylan from Man I Love Films, Nick from Random Ramblings of a Demented Doorknob, and Fredo from Film Yarn. The topics include lesser-known zombie films, comic book movies not adapted from other material, and memorable movie birth scenes.

My contribution was the Top 5 Movies I'm Embarrassed to Have Paid for and Seen in the Theater. There are so many good options for this list, especially from my less-picky high school and college days. One example is the ridiculous Mortal Kombat: Annihilation (pictured above), a dreadful sequel that actually found a way to make the hokey original look strong by comparison. Amazingly, I was actually excited to see this movie in the theaters back in 1997. This was not a wise choice. Check out this LAMBcast episode for the rest of my list and a great discussion that spins off in a variety of interesting directions.
